Voluntary recall issued for Cheese Nips that may contain plastic pieces

WASHINGTON – Mondelez Global LLC has announced a voluntary recall of a limited quantity of Cheese Nips products due to the potential presence of small yellow plastic pieces.

According to the FDA, these pieces may have come from a dough scraper that was incorporated into the production process of a small amount of the product.

The recall is limited to 11 oz boxes of Cheese Nips with “Best When Used By” dates of 18MAY20, 19MAY20, and 20MAY20. These products also contain UPC code 0 44000 03453 5. No other product is affected by this recall.

There have not been any reports of injury or illness related to this product to date. Consumers who have this product should discard it.
