Senators come from behind, take down Tech in double overtime

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Dover survived a double-digit second half deficit to defeat Sussex Tech in double overtime, 30-27.

Tech extended their second quarter lead to 14 when Conor Ellingsworth rumbled 34 yards for a touchdown.

Senator quarterback Elijah Allen found Tyrese Sanabria for a 25-yard touchdown with one minute left in regulation to tie the game.

KJ Custis scored for the Ravens in the first overtime from four yards out, Dover’s Jordan Moran scored in the extra period as well to send the game to a sixth period.

Following a Moran field goal, Akil Garrett sealed the win with an interception.

Dover (3-4) will return home to play the Sussex Central Golden Knights Friday for a 7 PM kickoff. Sussex Tech (3-5) welcomes in Caesar Rodney in a week nine showdown.
