Delmar scores huge road win, knocks off undefeated Lake Forest

Felton, DE- One week after being shut out at home, the Delmar Wildcats football team got a huge win on the road knocking off previously undefeated Lake Forest 34-6 on Friday night.

Te’Kwon Dennard got the scoring started for the Wildcats, going 83-yards on Delmar’s first possession to give the Wildcats an early lead. Lake’s only scoring chance would come late in the first half, lining up for a 42-yard field goal. A mishandled snap on the attempt would give Delmar the ball back with less than a minute before the half. The Wildcats had just enough time for quarterback Jacob VonArx (2 TDs) to find Vershawn Spence (2 TDs) in the endzone for a 37-yard score, and a 14-0 halftime lead.

The Wildcats would continue to pour it on in the second half, and hand Lake their first loss of the year.
