Delmar rolls Indian River behind Lucas’ strong night
DAGSBORO, Del.- After going up 20-0 at half time, the Delmar Wildcats defeated Indian River 34-13. With the win, Delmar improves to 5-2 and the loss drops IR to 1-6.
After going 3 and out on their first two drives, the Wildcats would get things going on offense. Backup QB Parker Lucas showed off his arm with a 50 yard touchdown to Ryan Nelson to end the first quarter. In the second quarter, Lucas would strike again. This time to Zach Covington with a handful of defenders around him and he hauled it in for a thirty yard score. The Wildcats would ride the momentum the rest of the game to win it 34-13.
Delmar returns to action when they host Seaford next Friday at 7:30. Indian River looks to get back in the win column when they travel to Greenwood to take on Woodbridge next Friday
