Bulldogs roll; shutout Clippers at home
RIDGELY, Md. – The North Caroline Bulldogs took advantage of turnovers and moved to 7-0 with their 42-0 victory over the Bennett Clippers.
Two plays into the game, the Bulldogs forced a fumble in the Clipper redzone to set up a Trenton Hillard rushing touchdown. Two plays later, the defense got involved in the scoring, as a snap flew over the head of the Bennett offense and into the endzone. Rhian Silsley barreled toward the ball and fell on it for the Bulldog score.
North Caroline tacked on a third touchdown of the quarter after Hunter Healey danced on the left side and finessed his way in to make it 21-0.
Zamir Dennis shot up the middle in the later stages of the second quarter to add another touchdown right before the half. North Caroline did not allow a Clipper play on the Bulldog side of the field in the first half.
