Orioles No. 1 pick Rutschman makes Shorebirds Debut

Former Oregon State catcher goes 0-2, 2 BB in first game with Delmarva

SALISBURY, Md.- The No. 1 draft pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, Adley Rutschman, made his Delmarva Shorebirds debut on Wednesday.

Rutschman, who was selected first overall by the Baltimore Orioles back in June, quickly rose through the minor leagues with quick stints on the Orioles Gulf Coast League team and the Aberdeen IronBirds.

In his 25 minor league games, the Oregon State product has hit .297 with 18 RBIs and two home runs.
