Back to 1919: Delaware Pilsner offered at fair only to mark 100 years

HARRINGTON, Del. – The Delaware State Fair has some unique ways of celebrating its 100th year, including a special brew.

The Delaware Pilsner is a recipe from 1919 to mark 100 years of the fair.

The fair teamed up with Big Oyster out of Lewes, and we’re told this beer is a cross between Bud Light and a Land Shark.

This brew is only available here at the Delaware State Fair for these ten days, and is available at the Roost across from the exhibit hall.

“We wanted to celebrate, do something special here in the Roost, and on all the concert sides to help celebrate this 100 years,” said state fair bar manager Trista Jester.

For any collectors out there, you can stop by and pick up a can, or your own Delaware Pilsner four pack to take home.
