Father’s Day traditions on Delmarva
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Families across the world celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday.
47ABC spoke with some dads here on Delmarva to find out how they spent their special day.
Some said they spent the day outdoors fishing with their kids.
Others said they opted to watch the Ocean City Air Show with their family this year.
47ABC ran into one local veteran who said while he was in the military it was difficult at times to not be around his family so Sunday just spending time with his loved ones was enough for him.
“I didn’t get a whole lot of time to spend with them, and now that I’m out I work a lot so time flies,” said Richard Young, a Hebron resident.
“You don’t get to do that often, so why not take a day now and just hangout with family,” said Young.
Young said he plans on watching the Ocean City Air Show each year as a new Father’s Day tradition.
