Kent Island girl’s lacrosse wins OT thriller vs. James M. Bennett
SALISBURY, Md. – Kent Island girl’s lacrosse defeated James M. Bennett 10-9 in overtime Monday afternoon in Salisbury.
Starting in the second quarter, Bennett’s Siena Beauchamp notched to give the Clippers a 3-2 lead.
It didn’t take too long for Kent Island to respond as Hannah Steele scored with the assist from Willow Yost to tie the game, 3-3.
This was the summary of the game, as this was a tight battle to the finish.
In the fourth quarter, Steele recorded two more goals, but Bennett responded to both of them with goals from Molly Boyd and Beauchamp, who tied the game with 24 seconds remaining in regulation.
Then in overtime, Kent Island’s Parker Tengwall scored off the assist from Yost to give the Bucs the win in a thriller.
