Parkside comes from behind to uproot Tribe

SALISBURY, Md. – The Parkside Rams took advantage of some WiHi miscues to score two runs in the fifth and take down the Tribe 2-1.

The first round of the MPSSAA 2A baseball playoffs got off to a hot start behind an RBI single from Andrew Rickards in the first inning. Both starters in Brayden Luers for WiHi and Anthony Sarbanes for Parkside were dealing and exchanging strikeouts through most of the game.

Luers worked out of a bases loaded jam in the fourth inning but the Rams awoke in the fifth inning. Brady Smith came up with an RBI single and then Parkside got the go-ahead run of an error. Sarbanes finished off the game with no blemishes in the seventh inning. With the win, Parkside will battle Kent Island on Saturday.
