Indian River scores three in the second half, moves to 4-0

DELMAR, De.- After going down 1-0 early, Indian River scored four unanswered goals, three in the second half, to remain undefeated defeating Delmar 4-1. The loss drops Delmar to 1-4 on the year.

Delmar would strike first in this one, Ashlynn Hastings would net one of her five shots on goal to give the Wildcats the early lead. As time wound downing the first half, the Indians would get the equalizer. Avery Congleton ties it up in the first half making it 1-1 at the break.

The second half would belong to IR. Madison Tipton would break the tie in the 59th minute of the game getting it right in front of the net and getting it past the keeper for her only goal of the game. Just 11 minutes later Isabella Binko would get into the scoring book with a wide open shot from about 25 yards out. Finally, Anastasia Diakos would get the cross from Congleton on the right sideline and she would get her only goal int the 73rd minute.

IR will return to action next Tuesday when they host Caesar Rodney (3-1). Delmar will try and get back in the win column also next Tuesday when they host Polytech (3-2).
