Easton rallies down four, walk off vs. Kent County
EASTON, Md. – The Easton Warriors come up clutch in a rain-soaked seventh inning to rally from down four runs against Kent County with a 14-13 victory.
Off to a hot start in the first inning, Kent County plated three runs and tacked on another one in the second. Easton battled back to get themselves in the ball game and even took the lead after back to back wild pitches.
The Trojans knocked in the go-ahead runs in the sixth inning behind a bases clearing double from Ian Walters to go up 12-9. After an insurance run made it 13-9 Easton’s lead off man struck out. As the rain continued to fall the pitching command wained and walks loaded the bases for the Warriors. A pair of walks and a single tied the game up at 13-13, and Nick Christopher pulled a ball down the third base line to bring in the winning win.
