Bailey allows no runs, leads Parkside baseball to win over Kent Island

STEVENSVILLE, Md.- Sophomore Brady Bailey tossed a gem for Parkside, leading the Rams to a 6-2 win over 2018 2A East region runner-up Kent Island on Tuesday, 6-2.

Bailey went 5.1 innings, allowing five hits, zero runs and striking out six. He got the help from his offense, as the Rams put up five of their six runs in the first two innings. Tyre Downing went 1-3 with 3 RBI for Parkside, and Brady Smith finished 3-3 with an RBI and a walk. Also getting RBIs for the Rams (1-1) were Anthony Sarbanes and Trevor Owens with one apiece.

For Kent Island, Austin Horney knocked in their only two runs of the game in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run single.

On the mound for the Bucs (1-1) , JD Blevins went 3.1 in relief, allowing seven hits, two runs and striking out five.
