Morning crash in Delmar under investigation

DELMAR, Md. – Officials say an investigation is underway after a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle collided in Delmar early Friday morning.

We’re told that the accident happened shortly before 8 AM, in the area of Route 13 and Route 54, near the Delmar Diner. Police say the passenger car failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist, causing the collision.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital and is reportedly in stable, non-life threatening condition. No injuries were reported in the car.

We’re also told that alcohol or drugs are not a factor in the crash at this time. The roadway was shut down for approximately two hours while the accident was investigated and cleared.

No charges have been filed as of yet, but may be coming pending completion of the investigation.
