Tropical Storm Michael is expected to bring heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong gusty winds overnight as the storm quickly moves just south of the peninsula and off the coast. Expect winds to gust between 40-60 mph with some gusts higher at the immediate coast. Total rainfall accumulation of 2-5 inches expected with possible isolated higher amounts.
The sky will clear on Friday behind the storm, but winds will remain on the breezy side. Temperatures will finally feel more like fall with highs in the upper 60s.
Saturday will be partly to mostly cloudy early with a few showers around, then the sky will turn partly sunny with cooler highs in the low and mid 60s. Sunday looks mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid and upper 60s.
Monday will be partly sunny and nice to start, but an approaching cold front will bring showers late. Highs will be in the mid 70s. Tuesday turns cooler behind the front with partly sunny skies and perhaps a few lingering showers. Highs will be in the mid and upper 60s. Wednesday will also be partly sunny with showers later in the day. Highs will be in the mid 60s.
Thursday turns even cooler with highs struggling to get out of the 50s in some spots.
