Members of the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department say four people were involved in a collision at the intersection of Route 50 and Sixty Foot Road Tuesday afternoon.

According to fire officials, three patients were taken to the hospital by ambulance. They are expected to be okay.

When 47 ABC spoke with fire officials at about 5:00 p.m., the scene had been cleared.

Construction for a traffic light at the intersection, where a blinking light is currently in place, is supposed to begin in 2017.
