MCCC looking for offender who failed to return

Authorities in Dover say they are searching for an inmate, who did not return on an approved pass.
The Morris Community Correctional Center, in Dover, says that 33-year-old Joseph Walls, has willfully failed to return on an approved work pass.
Walls is described by law enforcement as a male, standing 6’00”, weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair, and green eyes. His last known address is reported as being in Clayton, Delaware. He is also listed to have tattoos on his left arm, left forearm, left shoulder, left leg, right arm, right leg, back, chest, and neck, and a scar on his thigh.
Officials say that Walls’ location is unknown, and unauthorized at this time, so a warrant for escape and conviction has been issued. According to the report, Walls’ current offense is violation of probation for burglary third degree.
It is important to keep in mind that Community Corrections Centers are Level 4 facilities, where the Department of Correction manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community. So, these centers are not secured like Level 5 prisons, meaning offenders are permitted to the leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs or attend approved treatment sessions.
