– and virginia prompted thousands of students to evacuate their schools in caution of a bomb threat. it happened this morning — 47 abc’s greg guidone has more. track 1 nine schools. three states. one common theme. bomb threats. authorities from new castle county down to accomack county are now investigating what they say were bomb threats called in by a robotic voice. 14:45:41-:45 “this was all right before ten-o-clock and all the phone calls came in right at the same time,” buttsot 14:45:32-:38 “this is definitely a unique situation and in today’s day and age with computers and the way that they’re set up,” track 2 corporal gary fournier with the delaware state police tells 47 abc that h.b dupont middle school in hockessin – caesar rodney and indian river high schools – and seaford middle all received a robotic call between 9-30 and 10 a-m monday morning. similar calls were reported in milford’s lulu ross elementary and smyrna elementary. we’re told no bombs or suspicious packages were found and all the students were eventually returned to school. 14:45:54-14:46:06 “all of the schools in question have a school resource officer so there’s already a trooper or police officer that is assigned to those school districts. we’ll continue to monitor any other phone calls or any suspicious activity,” track 3 maryland and virginia schools saw their share of threats as well. in wicomico county – officials confirm to 47 abc that parkside high school received a threat this morning. in a statement released monday – officials say “we are disheartened by this threat to the safety of our staff and students and the disruption of our school. we will continue to provide a safe place for our staff to work and our students to learn and grow.” and schools in talbot and accomack county were also affected. officials say a robotic voice also made threats at easton elementary – and nandua middle. these threats were also deemed non-credible. sig greg guidone 47 abc at this point – it’s unclear how – if it all – the calls are connected. if you have any additional details or would like to provide a tip – delaware state police ask you to contact delaware crime stoppers at 1-800-tip-3333. we’ll continue to keep you updated on-air and online at 47abc dot com — as well as on social media. cambridge officials say they now have the plans to stabilize the partially collapsed
