Two arrested in Dorchester Co. drug bust

Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and an officer from the Hurlock Police Department, say they arrested two individuals involved in a narcotics transaction. The officers, who were working in a covert capacity, say they arrested Sytira Barham, 23, of Laurel, Del., and William Hepperle, 34, of Linkwood, Md., on Springdale Road near East New Market, Md., on Friday.
Police report that Barham was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute, Illegal Possession of a Prescription with intent to Distribute, Possession of drug paraphernalia and Possession of a Narcotic with Intent to Distribute.
Authorities say Hepperle was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance. The case resulted in the seizure of 31 Oxycodone pills and $1,451.00 cash. Police report Hepperle was placed behind bars on $7,500.00 bond, and Barham received $50,000.00 bond.
