Local business hires those who are disabled and hopes to expand

In Newark, Maryland, a business owner has entered a contest for being quite unique on the Eastern Shore.
This year SCORE/Sam's Club is hosting a small business contest, called "What Makes Your Business Unique".
Owner of Gifts Fulfilled knew that her business stood out.
The business's missions is provide jobs for those who have disabilities.
Gifts Fulfilled assembles gifts for clients to sell on Amazon.
It started in 2015 as they partnered with Worcester County Development Center, known as WCDC
They usually have 8 people twice a week creating gifts.
Owner Kim Shanahan says that beyond Amazon they are hoping to work with other local businesses as well.
If they win the contest, they will win $25,000, which will help her open up her own store instead of working out of WCDC.
Those big bucks will also allow her to employ up to 20 people.
Now the contest runs until February 20th and if you would like to help Shanahan and those employees win, go here and click on the picture to like it.
