Cambridge-SD Loses A Heartbreaker At Home To North Caroline

The North Caroline Bulldogs were coming off of a huge win last week over Easton - while Cambridge South-Dorchester is also coming off of a big win against WiHi last week. Both teams took the field tonight on the look out for the win tonight in Cambridge.Nathaniel Lowe helped Cambridge get on the board early in the first quarter with a 75 yard touchdown to the house to take a 7-0 lead. The first half continued to stay closed throughout -- there would be a controversial call up at the end of the first half. North Caroline put up a hail mary into the end zone -- while it appeared through pictures and video that the ball was in the hands of a member of the Vikings defense - after about two minutes of discussion, the referees ruled that a touchdown for North Caroline and helped the Bulldogs to take a 20 - 14 lead going into halftime.That play would not be the only time that the referees it wouldn't hurt the Vikings - late in the fourth quarter, Lowe, quarterback for Cambridge, took off down the sideline for a huge gain, but it would be called back due to a holding penalty against his team. That turned into a replay of the first down along with a 10 yard penalty. The big loss on the play ended up being the game-changer in the fourth quarter as time ran out, quarterback Lowe fumbled the ball while it was recovered by Navar Solis and the Bulldogs secured the road victory over the Vikings, 20 - 14 the final.

Parkside Boys Soccer Roll Snow Hill

The Parkside boys soccer team defeated Snow Hill 4-0 Thursday afternoon. The win improves the Rams to 2-0, while the loss drops the Eagles to 0-2. 

Queen Anne's Field Hockey Remains Undefeated

Queen Anne's County High School played host to the Parkside Rams in one of the only games that continued to play on a wet Thursday evening. The Lions looked to get the win over the Rams for the second win of the season to remain undefeated this fall.

Kent Island Volleyball Sweeps Parkside

The Kent Island volleyball team picked up their first win of the year after they traveled to Parkside and pulled off a 3 sets sweep. The win improves the Buccaneers to 1-0 on the year while the loss drops the Rams to 0-1. Parkside returns to action Friday when they travel to Wi-Hi, while Kent Island returns to the court Monday when they host North Caroline. 

Easton Volleyball Gets Road Win At Bennett

Easton's volleyball team hit the road Wednesday afternoon and defeated Bennett in their season opener 3-1. The win improves the Warriors to 1-0, while the loss drops the Clippers to 0-1 on the year. Easton returns to action Monday when they host Colonel Richardson, while Bennett returns to the court Friday when they travel to North Dorchester. 

Mardela girls soccer holds on to win opener

As time ticked off the clock of a 2-1 game, a seemingly harmless corner kick turned into the game-securing goal by Kasey Goshorn in the 80th' minute as Mardela girls soccer defeated Colonel Richardson 3-1, in American Corner on Wednesday night.

The Salisbury University men's soccer team gutted out a 1-0 win over Rutgers-Camden Sunday afternoon. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 3-0 on the year.

SU Women's Soccer Rolls E. Mennonite

The Salisbury University women's soccer team picked up their 2nd win of the year in dominate fashion, after they defeated East Mennonite 9-0. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 2-1 on the year.
