Colonel Richardson played host to the Snow Hill Eagles for Friday night football. Both the Colonels and the Eagles are coming off of losses so they were both looking to get their first win of the fall tonight. The home team would get things going right away, Eric Joseph took the ball almost all the way to the end zone to start off the game and that set up the touchdown from Calvin Tilgman a couple plays later. Shawne Bowens and A.J. Palmer also contributed offensively with a couple of touchdowns. Colonel managed to score 3 touchdowns in the first quarter alone while Snow Hill's Amonty Allen helped the Eagles score once in the first quarter for a 21-6 score. While the Colonels showed dominance on the field, the Eagles were getting hurt from different penalty calls for chop blocking throughout the first quarter, and definitely hurt them down the road. The Eagles are a much better team than they were able to prove tonight on the field, however, what a great win for Colonel Richardson in front of their fans. The Colonels have been working hard to get some wins under their belts and this will be a memorable one for a long time as the Colonels take this one, 55-14 the final.
