The Snow Hill girls soccer team has made their way through the tournament and into the regional quarterfinals looking to advance the the semifinals as they faced the Patterson on Tuesday night.The Huskies came out strong from the start scoring less than three minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead. The Eagles fought back and tried to keep it a close game, but Snow Hill had trouble fending off the high-pressure style of play that Patterson brought to the field. The Huskies continued to be dominant throughout the first half of play and would take a 5-0 lead at half.Despite the score, Snow Hill came out with intensity, but Patterson held onto the shutout in the second half as well while managing to put away a couple goals to secure the win, 7-0 over Snow Hill.With this win, Patterson Mill is the Regional Champion and advances to the next round of the state tournament.
The Colonel Richardson volleyball team topped Snow Hill 3-1 Monday night in the second round of the state tournament to advance to the regional semifinals. The Colonel will now face Pocomoke at home on Wednesday.
