Decatur Wins Season Opener On The Road

The Stephen Decatur boys basketball team opened up their 2015 season with high expectations for this upcoming season despite missing a few key players on the roster. Both Tyree Henry and Torrey Brittingham were not on the court, and yet, this team was playing extremely well.Arcadia scored the first points of the game, but it would not take long for the Seahawks to respond - especially junior Keve Aluma - who had a few big blocks as well as some major dunks in Friday nights game. The Seahawks went on a 17 point run and that was all they needed while taking a 20-5 lead with a few minutes left in the first quarter. Decatur continued to dominate the Firebirds in all aspects of the game.The score was lopsided at halftime with Decatur on top 42-14 and they continued to push from there throughout the remainder of the second half as they got the win over Arcadia 81-31.Watch out for the boys in blue this year - they are looking for that Bayside title and they have the talent to do it.

Pocomoke Girls Basketball Gets Off To A Strong Start

The Pocomoke girls basketball team finished off their 2014-2015 season with dominance, but this year they are back for even more and they definitely have the talent to do it.On Friday night, the Warriors opened up season play against North Caroline and within thirty seconds of the game - Pocomoke had a 6-0 lead. Throughout the first half, Dynaisha Christian picked up right where she left off last season and looked even better on the court.The Warriors took a commanding 42-7 lead at halftime and only continued to put in the work from there as Pocomoke got the win, 57-19.Christian finished out the game with 19 points and the most impressive part about that was she only played in the first half of the game.

Fly Eagles Fly To The State Championship Game

The Smyrna Eagles have made the best of their season thus far including a big playoff win last week over Mount Pleasant and they looked to bring that momentum into Saturday's game on the road against reigning state champions, the William Penn Colonials.

Clock Strikes Midnight On Woodbridge's Run

The Woodbridge football team saw their incredible post season run come to an end Saturday afternoon when they fell on the road to top seeded St. Georges 33-14. The Blue Raiders finish out the season with a 8-4 record.

Despite throwing three interceptions in the first quarter, Joe Callahan overcame his early struggles to account for 5 touchdowns, including his 50th passing touchdown of the year, as Wesley defeated Johns Hopkins 42-37 to advance to the Division III quarterfinals.

The 2015 North Caroline Bulldogs are an all-around quality football program that is extremely exciting to watch as they have been all season long. It was a great run for the Bulldogs who should keep their heads up despite the score tonight.

Collins Earns 200th Win As Hawks Soar High

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore mens basketball team defeated St. Francis 70-57 on Friday night for their first win of the season. The win improves the Hawks to 1-4 on the year. The win also marked the 200th for Head Coach Bobby Collins in his career. 

Upset City! SU Tops No. 2 Virginia Wesleyan

The Salisbury University men's basketball team had their home opener Tuesday and pulled off a huge upset, topping No. 2 Virginia Wesleyan 71-60. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 5-0 on the year.

UMES Men's Basketball Stays Winless, Rocked By Fairfield

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore basketball team is still looking for their first win of the season as they were rocked at home Tuesday night by Fairfield, 113-74. The loss drops the Hawks to 0-4 on the year.

Batchelor Collects Win No. 200 As UMES Tops Cheyney

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's basketball team picked up a win Tuesday night when they defeated Cheyney 113-74. The win improves the Hawks to 2-3 and gives Head Coach Fred Batchelor his 200th win of his career.

The annual Bayside Senior All-Star Game was played at the Wicomico County Stadium between the North and South Bayside soccer teams - compiled of talented seniors around the league.
