Selbyville man arrested after vehicle break-ins, firearms theft

SELBYVILLE, Del. – A Selbyville man is now facing charges after a series of vehicle break-ins and a firearm theft.

Delaware State Police say 20-year-old Broaderick Thomas was arrested Friday. Around 4:30 a.m. troopers were investigating a rash of thefts from unlocked vehicles in the Americana Bayside Development in Selbyville. Police say in one of the break-ins, two firearms were stolen. Investigators were able to track Thomas down later in the day and arrested him without incident. Thomas was taken to Delaware State Police Troop 4.

Thomas is now facing two counts of theft of a firearm, three counts of theft, and five counts of criminal trespass. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court #3 and released on $9,005 bond. The firearms are still missing.
