No fatalities in Chincoteague fire

Authorities say a fire that broke out in a Chincoteague home Wednesday has been contained. First calls came in around 4:00 PM Wednesday for a reported fire on the 5300 block of Main Street in Chincoteague.

Authorities confirmed there were no injuries or fatalities. They say the family was not home during the time of the blaze. One dog was rescued from the dwelling and returned to the family.

Reports say the fire started in the garage, and the cause is unknown at this time.
