On Friday morning, Officials announced that they would also be canceling service for the remainder of Friday, along with the first trip out on Saturday morning. At that point, operations are expected to be re-evaluated.
The following departures will not operate Friday:
Cape May, NJ Lewes, DE

6:00 PM 7:45 PM
The first round trip scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2015 is also cancelled. The following departures will not operate:
Cape May, NJ Lewes, DE
7:30 AM 9:15 AM
“We were staying ahead of Mother Nature for a while early this week, working another ferry to clear out the Cape May Canal and partnering with the Pilots Association using a tug to break up the ice around the berthing facilities in Lewes,” said Heath Gehrke, Director of Ferry Operations. “Unfortunately, the conditions deteriorated to the point that we can’t operate. The bitter cold temps and wind have conspired to cause ice conditions that we can’t break through. We’re hopeful that we can resume service this weekend and will be looking forward to the warmer temps that are forecasted.”
