5 stranded boaters rescued in OCMD

Coast Guard officials say five stranded boaters were rescued on Saturday evening.

We’re told the Coast Guard was notified around 5:15 p.m. after five people on a 21 foot boat were stuck in a marsh on Assawoman Bay.

A Coast Guard official tells 47 ABC the five boaters were rescued around 7 p.m. with no reported injuries.

Ocean City Fire Department also sent two vessels during the rescue.
