Worcester Co. Public Schools granted three-day waiver for snow days

Worcester County Public Schools will catch a small break after nine snow days this school year.

The Maryland State Superintendent approved a three-day waiver for the district, which will make the last day of school on June 18th.

Both Dorchester and Wicomico County Public Schools were granted the request as well. 47 ABC reached out to Somerset County Public Schools about their request, but we are still waiting to hear back.

As part of the Wicomico County Board of Education’s adoption of a modified 2014-2015 school calendar, the following changes are in effect:

  • Thursday,  April 2 will be a half-day for all students and a full-day for all staff;
  • Monday, June 15 will be a full-day for students and staff;
  • Tuesday, June 16 will be a full-day for students and staff;
  • Wednesday, June 17 will be a half-day for all students and a full-day for all staff; and
  • Thursday, June 18 will be a half-day for all students, the last day of school for all students, and a full-day for all staff.
