Man recovering after reportedly violent carjacking in Hartly

Police are looking for information, after a man was apparently car jacked in Hartly on Sunday night.

Delaware State Police say around 10:30 PM, a 45-year-old man pulled over on Lockwood Chapel Road, to help was appeared to be a woman having car trouble.

According to the report, the man got into the woman’s car, and started it, but as he was getting out, a second person hit him in the head. Police say the victim had been knocked unconscious, and when he came too, his vehicle had been stolen.

Police say they are now looking for the maroon 2008 Chevy Trail Blazer, with Delaware plates PC424217. After the victim ran to a nearby house to call 911, he was rushed to Bayhealth – Kent General Hospital by EMS, where he was admitted with undetermined head injuries.

Police don’t have much of a description for either of the suspects, only that the woman was blonde.
