Police: Man arrested on trespassing and drug charges in Milford apartment complex

Gregory Black, 55, of Milford

A man was arrested on drug charges, after police say they discovered evidence while he was in a Milford apartment complex that he was banned from a year ago.

The Milford Police Department says on Thursday, just before 9:15 AM, officers were dispatched to the Brightway Commons Apartment Complex in  reference to a suspicious person investigation. Police say their investigation revealed that a man, later identified as 55-year-old Gregory Black of Milford, was sleeping in one of the hallways of the apartment complex.

According to the report, police found Black at the property and they learned that he was banned from the property in November 2017. Authorities report that Black was then taken into custody for trespassing. At that point, officers say a digital scale fell out of his pocket and further investigation reveled that Black was in possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected heroin.

Black was charged with manufactures, delivers, or possession with intent to deliver a counterfeit controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia non-marijuana related, and criminal trespass third degree.

He was later released on $1,000 unsecured bail with a no contact order with Brightway Commons Apartment Complex.
