UPDATE: One arrested in Delmar run over incident on attempted murder charges

Police in Delmar have released the identity of a man who they say ran someone over in a gas station parking lot, and fled.

Delmar Police say after releasing photos of the suspect on Thursday, he was identified as 23-year-old Gregory Lassiter. According to the report, on Monday, Officers responded to the Gordy Tiger Mart in Delmar, where a person had been run over by a motor vehicle, which had fled.

The victim was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where they were treated and released.

After being identified, Lassiter was taken into custody by the Maryland State Apprehension Team. He was then charged with attempted 1st and 2nd degree murder, 1st and 2nd degree assault, and theft less than $100. Lassiter is currently behind bars at the Wicomico County Detention Center without bond.
