Chicks feast upon Tri-County before weather intervenes

The Perdue Chicks led Tri-County 5-0 thru 3 and a half innings, before umpires decided to call the game, Tuesday night in the Eastern Shore Baseball League at Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex in Salisbury.
With storm clouds approaching, Perdue jumped out to a lead in the bottom of the first. Delaware standout Diaz Nardo gave the Chicks a 1-0 lead with a single down the left field line, scoring Kevin Lindsey. Tyler Dean also had an RBI single in the inning, as Perdue led 3-0 after one. Chicks SS DJ Long would push the lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the 3rd when he doubled to the left-center gap. Shortly after Long reached base, wind gusts began to get more aggressive, and with darker clouds moving in, umpires decided to postpone the game to a later date.
