4 of 7 stolen Rehoboth Beach lifeguard stands recovered

Four of the seven lifeguard stands recently stolen from Rehoboth Beach have been found. Rehoboth Beach Patrol Captain Kent Buckson tells 47 ABC two were located Sunday.
One of the stands was located about two miles off the coast of Ocean City. It was brought in by a fisherman to the West Ocean City Fishing Center. The second stand was located near the Ocean City Coast Guard Station and was towed in.
A third stand was found about a mile out from the Indian River Inlet Coast Guard Station and was brought in Monday morning.
The fourth stand washed ashore on a private beach Monday afternoon just south of Rehoboth Beach in the Cotton Patch Hills Community.
The four recovered life guard stands are apparently in good condition. Authorities say once they dry out, they will be used out on the beach again. There are currently seven replacement life guard stands being used in place of the stolen ones.
Each life guard stand weighs about 500 pounds and costs about $800 each. An investigation is underway to find out who is responsible for the thefts.
