ESBL: The Titans Comeback For The Playoff Win

The Eastern Shore Baseball League playoffs continued on Thursday night with the second place  Georgetown Titans facing the third place State Line Strutters.

 Thursday night, the Strutters got on the board first taking a 2-0 lead, but the Titans scored two runs of their own to tie things up. The Stutters followed their two-run inning with a three-run second inning taking a 5-2 lead. Within a couple of innings, the Titans found themselves sitting even with the Strutters and Georgetown would take control of things from there. 

ESBL’s top spot has been held on by the Perdue Chicks, but the Titans are getting ready for a big playoff run. With an 11-9 win over the Strutters,, the Titans and Chicks will go head-to-head tomorrow night with the Chicks at 8:30.

On the other side of bracket, the Strutters will face Tri-County tomorrow night at 6:30.

The winners from each game will face each other in the final round of the Jimmy Carter Memorial Tournament.
