Aug. 4 – First State CAA Lead Awareness

Are you concerned about possible lead-based paint hazards in your home? You may qualify for assistance to make your home LEAD-Safe.
If you have a child under 5 years old and your home was built before 1978, you may be eligible for help removing the lead-based paint hazards at no charge.
De-Lead Delaware applications are currently being accepted for single-family homes and rental units in Kent and Sussex Counties. Recipients must meet incomes guidelines and reside within designated zip codes. Call First State Community Action Agency now at 302-856-7761 to see if you qualify.
If you are accepted in to the program, De-Lead Delaware will test your home for lead and a team of trained professional will resolve any lead hazards issues that are found. When the work is complete, De-Lead Delaware will test your home again to make sure it is lead-safe.
