Dover man shot during fight inside Royal Farms
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a shooting that happened inside a Royal Farms early Sunday morning. Police say around 1:59 a.m. officers responded to a call for shots fired at the store on South DuPont Highway. Investigators were able to interview store employees and review surveillance footage. From there, police were able to figure out that two men were fighting inside the store.
Police say during the fight, a single shot rang out and everyone ran out of the store. While officers were on scene, a 35-year-old man showed up at Bayhealth Kent Campus with a gunshot wound to his right pelvic area. The victim told police that he was at a local establishment before being at Royal Farms. But he says he was not involved in the fight.
