Bethany Beach looks to finalize central park concept

Bethany Beach is continuing its efforts to finalize the concept for their central park.

Lew Kilmer, vice mayor for the town, said after a number of public hearings that they think they have an idea for what people want and have narrowed down the potential options for the park.

Now Kilmer said the town is asking that people log on to the towns website and participate in a survey to vote on what the park should look like.

Kilmer said the project is expected to take quite some time to finish and cost a lot of money, but ultimately will be worth it.

“As we go on in time we will develop that into a really outstanding piece of property. It will be a cornerstone when people come into town,” Kilmer said.

Surveys are limited to two people per residence and the towns asks that surveys be complete before September 30th.
