WCBOE and MABE asks for input on next superintendent

In Wicomico County the search is on for a school superintendent to take over next year.

Wednesday evening, county residents were invited to answer three questions:

1. What do you feel are the most positive things about Wicomico County and the Wicomico County Public Schools?
2. What characteristics and qualifications do you feel a superintendent should possess?
3. What challenges do you think the new superintendent will face?

We’re told the feedback will shape the recruiting process for Dr. John Fredricksen’s successor.

The position will be posted sometime in November and a candidate will be chosen in April.

The Maryland Association of Boards of Education is also accepting input by way of email.
