Dental office hosts candy exchange to benefit troops

One local dental office is asking kids to turn in their candy.
Its actually part of a nationwide effort to send candy to troops overseas.
Operation Gratitude collects candy from dental offices all over the country and sends the sweet care packages to soldiers along with a toothbrush and paste.
Kool Smiles Dental on North Fruitland Boulevard is hosting the drive beginning this weekend.
Dr. Calvin Wilson says everyone is welcome to participate.
"We're starting to collect on October 28th, I think that's Saturday coming up and we'll continue all the way to November 4th. We encourage anyone from the community that they want to come in and provide some type of candy to give to the troops more than liekly they are welcome to come and we can definitely help them out."
This program is open to the public.
That means any kid can come into the office beginning on the 28th and hand over some candy in exchange for a toy.
