Overnight fire at Pit Stop Bar and Grill under investigation

GREENWOOD, Del. – State fire marshals are investigating a fire at the Pit Stop Bar and Grill in Greenwood early Tuesday morning.

We’re told the blaze was reported shortly after 3 a.m., at the business located in the first block of West Market Street. The Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company and mutual aid fire companies responded to the scene.

State fire investigators are actively investigating the fire’s cause and origin. Total damage has been estimated at $500,000. We’re told one firefighter was treated for minor injuries.
