Marc Appelbaum steps down from position

Marc Appelbaum has resigned from his post as Town Manager of Dewey Beach after coming to an agreement with town council.

Appelbaum has come under fire in recent months with dozens of allegations against him rangning from his use of foul language, his inappropriate dress, bullying demeanor to his alleged disparate treatment of employees.

Last month commissioners voted to indemnify Appelbaum, and to wait to make a final decision on the embattled Town Manager until they could fully digest the investigation that had been performed.

Former Mayor and current commissioner, Dale Cooke, confirmed the decision with 47abc, saying the mutual decision that was made was good for both the town and for Mr. Appelbaum.
