Driver charged in October hit and run

Members of the Delaware State Police say they have charged Justin J. Trice, 26 of Easton, Maryland, with Leaving the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Injury, Inattentive Driving-Causing Serious Physical Injury, and Failure to Report a Collision Resulting in Injury in connection to an October 15th hit and run that injured a 17-year-old boy.

Troopers say Trice turned himself in to Troop 7 on Tuesday. Trice was reportedly arraigned and released on his own recognizance.

State Police say the teen is still hospitalized, but his condition has been upgraded to stable.

The original incident happened southbound on Woodpecker Road, when the victim was struck by Trice while riding his bicycle.
