Cracker Barrel plans nixed for Centre At Salisbury

47 ABC confirmed with Mayor Jake Day that plans to build a Cracker Barrel on a pad of land surrounding the Centre At Salisbury have been halted.
Day says that the site has hit a snag in development plans, as one of the tenants of the mall vetoed the idea.
Day tells 47 ABC this is a private real estate issue. The real estate company behind the idea is Rouse Properties, Inc.
Previous rumors had circulated that the location of the restaurant could be in the area of the old J.C. Penney store at the Centre, that will also not happen.
Cracker Barrel says despite this setback, there will be a restaurant in Salisbury “no matter what.”
