Highlights from today's games.

here were starting it off talking high school football.. yeah david were keeping the theme alive here, all eyes are gonna be on how the patriots do with their third string quarterback tonight but what better way to preview week three of the high school scene. than to roll out my bayside and henlopen top 5’s entering the week. with so many big matchups all up and down delmarva, im bringing the list out early. get your pen and paper out people. top five goes as such. in maryland arting with number five, those easton warriors have come out of nowhere with that passing attack and have done damage to opposing defenses. he’re where the list gets tricky, cambridge with a40 plus point win last friday, still they slip to number four t this week, and it had a lot to do with our next team. at number three, the north caroline bulldogs lose their first regular season game since october of 2014, they slide from number one this week into the three slot. and how about the team that beat them, the kent island bucs on that magic field goal block returned for touchdown for the win last friday, they slide to number two. and our new number one, the queen anne’s lions, shout out to cj rogers a safety on the lions that told me a couple weeks ago that they would be number one, and there it is. over in the henlopen and not with much convincing needed, the sussex central golden knights remain in my top 5. they are one of two teams with early losses still on this list. the other, the cape vikings rolling in at number four, cape hasnt played a team from delaware yet, they beat up on cape may of new jersey in week one, and got trampled by oakdale of frederick maryland in week 2. their arch rivals the sussex tech ravens scoot into the three spot after another dominant home win. they face their first test on the road tomorrow taking on laurel. number two and not going anywhere any time soon, perhaps the best division two team in the state, the woodbridge blue raiders..they took apart polytech last week, will now host undefeated wilmington friends. and at number one the defending champs, the smyrna eagles, also with a huge test as they have their title rematch with salesianum. so tomorrow night should be filled with some great action on the gridiron. but doing not so great between those lines this season, what is up with the wesley wolverines. they lost their home opener to delaware valley and then this past saturday fell to christopher newport on the road to fall to 1-2 on the season. not in the d3 top 25 for the first time in 12 years. now the wolverines have this weekend off, so im sure coach mike drass will be digging into them this week to get them back on track. first since 2004. that’s it for sports – more news and weather straight ahead. stay with us. catch more of the action on our sports page at
