Clippers capitalize on opportunities
The Bennett Clippers blanked their cross-town rival Parkside Rams 2-0 on Thursday night in Salisbury.
Roberto Belfort gave the Clippers an early lead less than 6 minutes into the contest, sending a long shot over the head of the keeper and into the net.
Bennett’s second goal would come near the 50′ minute mark, when Connor Banks was taken down in the box. Peter Gutoskey stepped up and burried the freebie into the lower left corner to double the Clippers lead.
