Police: Easton jewelry store robbed, investigation underway
EASTON, Md. — Easton Police are investigating a strong armed robbery that happened on Tuesday.
According to police, the robbery happened at TNT Jewelers in the 28000 block Marlboro Avenue.
Police say a man entered the store and asked to see a couple of rings. He allegedly told employees he was looking to buy one for his girlfriend. Employees say they were showing him three rings, when he reportedly grabbed all three and took off running. He was last seen fleeing on foot in the area behind Target. Officers searched the area on foot and were assisted by the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office K9 Units along with the Maryland State Police Aviation Unit. They were unable to locate the subject.
The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, approximately 6 feet tall. Police say he was wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt.
