VA Transgender Bill Axed

In Virginia, The Richmond Times Dispatch reports that a legislative panel has axed a bill that would have required students to use the bathroom that goes along with their biological sex.
The bill that would have required schools to enforced the rule in bathrooms and locker rooms, died on Tuesday with an 8-13 vote in a House subcommittee.
A transgender student in Gloucester sued his school board after they refused to let him use the boy’s rest rooms. Back in September, a judge ruled against him. His case is now being considered by a federal appeals court.
