Chaos In Camden! Indians Shock CR

The Indian River boys basketball team didn’t have much to play for, as their season hadn’t gone the way they would have liked to this point. That didn’t stop them from marching into Camden and playing a spirited game, pulling off a big upset over Caesar Rodney 49-48. The win improves the Indians to 5-12 on the year, while the loss drops the Riders to 6-10

The Riders would come out of the gates strong, quickly grabbing a lead after Jaquan Hooks hit a couple threes, drawing an early timeout from the road team. The Indians quickly settled down as Isaiah Bratton would connect on short mid range jumper after jumper. IR would take a 1 point lead into the locker room, and watch as CR would make a push in the second half. Jayvon Palmer was able to get into the paint for a few scores for CR. The Indians would keep on coming though, as Jamier Felton would add a couple scores in transition, helping them to the win.

Indian River returns to work on Tuesday when they travel to play Lake Forest, while the Riders hit the road Tuesday to face off against Sussex Central.
