Fenix Youth Project addresses false narratives surrounding its programming

SALISBURY, Md. The organization Fenix Youth Project is voicing their concerns following the spread of what they’re calling false rumors about their programming.

According to the founder of the Fenix Youth Project Amber Green, there are community members claiming that they are a political organization. Green says her organization is about creating spaces grounded in social justice to help teens and young adults become leaders.

She adds that it’s time to set the record straight.

“We are an organization that serves the community who provides opportunities for youth to become leaders and it’s unfortunate that some people see our work as political and so we wanted to kind of set the record straight and let people know about the Fenix Youth Project,” said Green.
