Virtual National Folk Festival begins Saturday

SALISBURY, Md.- The National Folk Festival in Salisbury started its virtual performances Saturday.

We are told the virtual celebration will be a combination of performances from previous National Folk Festivals in Salisbury and new performances recorded for this year’s celebration.

When people tune into the festival’s website and social media platforms, as well as Delmarva Public Media, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m,  they can listen to music from the Quebe Sisters, Eddie Cotton, Jr., and music from American Routes.

People can also listen from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., during that time they can hear music from Jerry Douglas, Wendy MacIsaac,Hot Club of Cowtown, and more.
We are told the postponement of the 80th National Folk Festival will not happen until September 10-12, 2021.
